Discover Your Body’s Story – Move, Observe, Transform
By bringing attention to movement, we shine light on things we may not even know we are doing. The mere act of becoming aware can be enough to allow the psyche to release what no longer serves us.
How you do anything is how you do everything. Through guided, intentional movement you become attuned to the embodied stories you live out every day. In a supportive group setting each participants’ motion is observed and constructive feedback is given.
When the counsel is accepted without judgement, awareness of the body’s narrative grows – patterns that once were unknown begin to dissolve, and whole mythologies of self-limiting beliefs melt away with surprising ease.
When the mind is racing we replay harsh words, fret over other peoples’ actions, and worry for the future. We lose touch with those basic experiences that ground us.
With intentional movement we become reconnected to the mindfulness of simple sensations like the breath entering the lungs, the beating of the heart, and the sound of the wind rustling the leaves.
Conscious movement can help you to silence the endless inner dialogue and bring you back to presence. In this space clarity emerges, decisions feel effortless, life’s goals become attainable.

I have been doing movement with John for some months now.
I have found every session to be a little different depending on what I am bringing to the session. For example, I might be very stressed and feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders. Doing the movement with feedback really helps me to let go of the stress and move into a joyful space.
Going from angry and upset to happy and joyful.
The movement group has many facets to it usually starting with some meditative beaming which helps me to connect with my body and move into a more mindful state. Then some movement to music which can be very fun and uplifting allowing the processing of emotions that are hanging around. This is usually followed by individual movement with feedback from John which is very helpful for releasing negative states and moving me into a calm and happy place.
I enjoy going to the movement sessions and it’s great to speak to other like minded people and explore ideas and learn new movement techniques.

I have participated regularly with John’s beaming and movement sessions. These sessions train one to be in the flow and be able to function better in the world. His movement sessions were very helpful in assisting with my spiritual journey. John adds a personal touch to the AD process and that helps a great deal in keeping the activity engaging and connected.
